how we treat each other

Community Guidelines

Last updated · April 25, 2026

Familymaxxing is a small-group accountability app. You're here because a family member, friend, or close circle invited you to share goals, check-ins, and (sometimes) a money pool. These guidelines exist so the app stays a place people actually want to be invited to.

1. Be respectful

Treat the people in your groups the way you'd want to be treated. That means:

2. Post your own stuff

3. The money pool is not a payment service

If your group uses the optional money pool feature, Familymaxxing only tracks who owes whom. Real settlements happen between members outside the app. Do not use the pool feature to defraud other members or to launder funds. We will close groups and accounts that misuse this feature.

4. Don't break the law

Don't post content that's illegal where you live or where the people in your group live. Don't use Familymaxxing to plan or coordinate illegal activity.

5. Reporting violations

If you see a message, check-in, photo, or comment that violates these guidelines, email support@familymaxxing.app with a description of what you saw and where to find it (group name and approximate time). We aim to act on reports within 24 hours.

In-app reporting and blocking are coming in a future update. Until then, email is the fastest way to reach us.

6. Consequences

Depending on severity and pattern, we may:

Severe violations — especially anything involving minors, credible threats, or fraud — result in immediate permanent bans and, where appropriate, reports to law enforcement.
